Riesling,(rees ling), is sweet to off-dry for the most part.

The most famous wines made from this grape are made in Germany. Many of them sweet but always refreshing and full of character! If you prefer a drier style Riesling from Germany, look for the term: trocken (meaning dry).

France makes a drier style in the Alsace region that is elegant with a mineral component that I find delightful!

Riesling has high acidity and low alcohol content and can commonly be fruity and floral.

Pair this wine with shellfish or fruit desserts…YUM!
