At Grgich Hills Estate you can stomp grapes like Lucy Ricardo.

Grgich Hills Estate, located at 1829 St. Helena Parkway in Rutherford, was opened by Miljenko "Mike" Grgich and Austin Hills as Grgich Hills Cellar on July 4, 1977. Mike Grgich first gained international recognition at the "Paris Tasting" of 1976, a now-historic blind tasting when a panel of French judges chose his 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay as the finest white wine in the world. The winery changed its name in 2006 when it first began producing only "estate grown" wines made from grapes grown exclusively in vineyards owned by the winery. Grgich Hills’ vineyards are certified organic and Biodynamic and it converted to solar energy in 2006.
